Structural composition of scrap metal pre-crusher:
Feeding device: usually includes a feeding hopper, a conveyor belt, etc., which are used to transport scrap metal materials into the crushing chamber of the pre-crusher. Some advanced feeding devices are also equipped with automatic sensing and control functions, which can automatically adjust the feeding speed according to the material filling degree of the crushing chamber.
Crushing device: It is the core component of the pre-crusher, consisting of a rotor, a hammer, a blade, a liner, etc. The rotor rotates at high speed driven by the motor, driving the hammer or blade to crush the scrap metal. The liner is installed on the inner wall of the crushing chamber to protect the chamber and assist in crushing.
Power device: Generally, electric motors or hydraulic motors are used as power sources to provide the required power for the crushing device. Electric motors have the advantages of simple structure and easy maintenance, while hydraulic motors have the characteristics of large torque and good speed regulation performance. They can be selected according to different crushing needs.
Discharging device: Located at the bottom or side of the pre-crusher, it is used to discharge the crushed scrap metal fragments out of the machine. The discharging device usually includes a discharging port, a conveyor belt, etc. Some pre-crushers are also equipped with a discharging screening device, which can screen the crushed materials and send the materials that do not meet the particle size requirements back to the crushing chamber for secondary crushing.

Product features of scrap metal pre-shredder:
The scrap metal pre-shredder usually adopts a double-axis or multi-axis design and is equipped with multiple intermeshing cutter discs. The cutters on the cutter discs have a special shape, sharp edges and high strength and wear resistance. When the equipment is started, multiple cutter shafts rotate in opposite directions, and the cutters tear, bite and squeeze the scrap metal entering the crushing chamber like staggered gears. Taking scrapped cars as an example, the pre-shredder can gradually decompose the solid body frame, heavy engine cylinder, etc. into smaller metal blocks through the interaction force between the cutters.
The equipment is also equipped with an intelligent torque control system that can automatically adjust the speed and torque according to the hardness and thickness of the scrap metal. When encountering hard metal parts, the system will increase the torque to ensure smooth shredding; when dealing with softer metals, the speed will be reduced to improve processing efficiency and save energy.
